GivingTuesday: The Student Emergency Fund
One Day. One Goal.

#GivingTuesday

One Day. One Goal.
December 3, 2024

This GivingTuesday, we are joining forces to support our students during times of hardship. For when the unexpected happens, the Student Emergency Fund is available to assist all students navigate life’s challenges and stay on course to earn their college degree.

We've all been there at some point when it seems like you can't catch a break. Imagine being a student whose parent suddenly loses their job, and you become the provider for the family, but you don’t have the money to pay for your textbooks. Or your car suddenly breaks down, and your financial resources are all tapped out, leaving you with no way to get to your part-time job or internship. Oftentimes, in such situations, a student's education takes a back seat.

As more students turn to us for help, we urgently need to replenish the fund to continue offering this critical lifeline. Your gift to the Student Emergency Fund on this GivingTuesday will have an immediate impact.

Unleash the Power of Giving
GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to use their individual power of generosity to support their communities. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others.

This year, at FDU we are uniting as one community to support the Student Emergency Fund, so every student who needs a little help, can get the help they need, when they need it the most.

Your Gift Will Make A Difference

How you can help

A gift of any amount can help a student navigate an unexpected and difficult time in their college journey. A little help from the Student Emergency Fund when they need it the most can make a difference in whether or not a student stays in school to get their degree.
