Minna Zallman Proctor is editor of The Literary Review and teaches creative writing at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She's published three books of nonfiction: Do You Hear What I Hear? The Priesthood, My Father, and Religious Calling (Viking); I Sang the Unsingable: My Life in 20th Century Music with Bethany Beardslee (University of Rochester Press), and Landslide: True Stories (Catapult)—about which novelist Adam Haslett wrote, “Landslide is that rare book that somehow succeeds in being both knowing and open-hearted, both formally sly and emotionally direct.” She's the award-winning translator of nine books from Italian, most recently Natalia Ginzburg's Happiness, As Such (New Directions). She's a frequent contributor to Bookforum, and has written for Aperture, American Scholar, the LA Times Book Review, The Nation, among others. She's had fellowships at MacDowell and Bogliasco and is a two-time recipient of the PEN Heim Italian Translation award.
